We’re Crewit Resourcing, a leading rail and construction recruitment agency and we are looking to add the very best Finance Manager to join the team in our London Head Office.

This is initially a maternity cover contract, with a view to move into a full-time deployment in another accounting section of the business.

The position will involve taking full responsibility for the accounting function, controlling all financial processes, and advising the management team where required. As an ideal candidate, you will have an ATA or ACCA qualification or similar, experience in a similar role and be used to advising on a management-level.

Main responsibilities- Finance Manager

  • Manage cash and treasury matters on an ongoing basis.
  • Control all financial transactions and accountancy matters, including audit systems.
  • Maintain and develop financial systems.
  • Present periodic and annual accounts with commentary.
  • Review trade debtor accounts and investigate variances then set recovery plans.
  • Prepare monthly salaries for staff using Sage Payroll 50, prepare PAYE/CIS/VAT returns.
  • Capital expenditure – evaluation and preparation of submissions.
  • Ensure insurance/risk management.
  • Advise senior team members in commercial negotiations with customers.
  • Ensure that the regulatory requirements of all statutory bodies are met.
  • Ensure all documentation processes are adhered to and manage all arising issues.
  • Ensure all management assigned KPI’s are met on a continual basis.
  • Control and champion health and safety throughout your work.

Qualifications and Experience- Finance Manager

  • Degree or equivalent accounting qualification (AACA or AAT etc).
  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience in a similar accounting role.
  • Good understanding of business and financial issues. Strong knowledge of bookkeeping and payroll process essential.
  • Result-orientation, stress resistance.
