CAD Technician

Salary: €30 – €35k DOE

We are excited to offer an opportunity to join a fast-paced Irish engineering company as CAD Technician. The role will be based in Co. Galway.

We are seeking an individual with a strong knowledge of the construction industry, particularly in residential development, ranging from single dwellings to large-scale residential projects.

As a CAD technician, you will be responsible for designing technical drawings used in the construction of buildings.

Requirements:

• To be able to start, prepare and complete and full set of drawings for a 2000 – 2500 square foot dwelling within 8 working hours (these would be basic design drawings that include two floor plans, 4 elevations and 1 or 2 section drawings or close to this standard)
• To be able to interpret a sketch proposal and draft the design
• Good English – essential
• Good communicator
• Work ethic
• Auto-CAD (basic 2d design)
• Microsoft office
• Basic construction related degree or equivalent diploma. (Architectural Technician, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, etc)
• Understanding of building dynamics and the construction industry

Responsibilities:

• Drafting and preparation of 2d construction industry related drawings.
• Basic drafting of plans, elevations, sections, of residential dwellings and commercial buildings.
• Detailed drawings for the execution of construction practices on site. (Template drawings and precedents will be provided similar to any drawing required)
• Producing plans, elevations, technical details and building layouts

Work hours: 8:30am to 5:00pm Monday to Friday GMT

Salary: €30 – €35k DOE
